- The Bighouse -
A map review site offering much more in-depth revies than LVL, albeit far fewer of them. Also has a great texture index page.

- Terragen -
Where I found the excellent program I use to make my Env's and Desktop images. Very nice indeed.

- CMP -
The Quake 3 Community Map Pack team. Getting together to release high quality maps in a nice, easy package.

MAPPER SITES

- Bubba's Arena -
His tutorials are what taught me how to start doing all of this stuff. Got some awesome maps, too.

- Cardigan' Powder Room -
This site is excellent, and home to a great mapper who also has some very useful tutorials.

- PJW's Portal -
Where PJW has his own maps, and a great "KickAss Maps" list showing some of his favorite maps.

- HFX/Evil_Lair -
Known by both names, an excellent texture artist who is also putting out maps.

- Simland -
Where my other favorite texture artist - Sock - is; who has also created some amazing maps.

- Speed's -
He's still doing Quake 1 maps, and he's also got some real nice skyboxes for download.
